Role of this network
- Support the regional implementation programme for Transforming Care
- To work closely with the NHS, CCG’s and other key partners to facilitate high quality support to local areas and facilitate the sharing of good practice across London partners and agencies
Key Aims for 2015/16
- Support areas to implement Winterbourne View Concordat commitments
- Create and sustain strategic and partnership networks to identify and share innovative practice
- Work with the NHS to support LA’s and CCG’s to develop the commissioning infrastructure which enables development of new service models for care, in the least restrictive settings possible
- Ensure the learning disability commissioners network and other relevant networks consider the needs of the Transforming Care cohort when considering how to improve quality of care and develop effective systems of learning.

An updated Winterbourne View London Position Statement from the London Directors of Social Services for Adults and Children and NHS England London team, November 2014, compiled by the LondonADASS, which looks at the NHS Winterbourne View quarter 1 data 2014, the current position for people in London and how to support people to live in their local areas not institutions. The Winterbourne View Concordat sets out a programme of change to transform services for people with learning disabilities or autism and mental health conditions or behavior described as challenging:
