Shared Lives as Short Breaks and Family Carer support – a Cabinet Office project

Shared Lives Plus has been awarded £130,000 of Cabinet Office funding to help develop Shared Lives as an option for unpaid and family carers.
The funding is part of a £700,000 Social Action Project scheme from by the Cabinet Office, and Shared Lives Plus’ shre will be being split between 12 schemes in all areas of England to help develop Shared Lives to support family carers.

Whilst Shared Lives is already being used as a short breaks option for some family carers, there is scope to develop this further, and we are delighted to be looking at innovative ways to do this.
