Event for Service user and Carers to obtain views on the multi-agency adult safeguarding policy and procedures
Age UK, London England

FAO: Service User and Carers

We would like to invite you to share your views on the revised Pan London Policy and Procedures document which sets out how London organisations will work with adults who are at risk of or are subject to abuse and neglect.

We would welcome sharing this important work with you and invite your views on what is appreciated and valued and what is not the best way of supporting adults.

The event will be held at Age UK offices at Age UK London, 1st Floor, 21 St Georges Road, London, SE1 6ES

The afternoon will be split into two sessions as follows:

  1. The Do’s and Don’ts
  • Mental Capacity and Consent
  • Advocacy and Support
  • Managing Risk
  • Record Keeping

We hope to provide staff with Top Tips from each of these issues that adult safeguarding is based on.

  1. Equality Impact Assessment

It is vitally important that the final document is inclusive, and that all adults are considered. We will be producing an Easy Read Executive Summary and we need the right guidance from you, about what should be in that summary, and whether in your view, the document is relevant to all adults who are at risk of or subject to abuse and neglect.
