LondonADASS would like to congratulate John Powell, ADASS End of Life Care co-lead, on his award of an MBE in the recent Queen’s Birthday Honours List. John was honoured in recognition of his service to vulnerable people.
John Powell has made a powerful contribution to the discussions around end of life care, most notably being an early champion of end-of-life care. From being a minority voice on this topic. John campaigned with gusto for it to be accepted as one of the most important issues in care. It is in large part thank to this dogged campaigning that both John and the portfolio enjoy the significant profile that they do today.
