This event is one of a series taking place in regions as part of the consultation on the draft regulations and guidance for the Care Act, due to come into effect in April 2016. The events are supported by the joint Programme Management Office for the care and support reforms (a partnership between Department of Health, ADASS and the LGA). These events are for local authorities and partners and are part of a wider consultation process led by the Department of Health which will offer a number of opportunities to input. The events will include an introduction to the consultation and a number of workshops on the cap on care costs, proposals for appeals and working age adults. There will also be an opportunity to discuss key issues for implementation of the Care Act in 2015-16.
